Senior Officer, Research and Development

Job Summary

The overall role of Senior Officer, Research and Development is to lead and execute food product research, development, improvement to create safe, high-quality, cost-effective, innovative that meet consumer needs, regulatory requirements, and company business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

1. Develop new food products and formulations to achieve target taste, texture, appearance, nutrition, shelf life, cost, and consumer acceptance.
2. Formulate recipes and ingredient combinations to achieve consistent product quality and target specifications.
3. Conduct sensory evaluations and product testing to verify consumer acceptance and identify areas for product improvement.
4. Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, productivity, cost efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
5. Maintain technical documentation, formulation records, specifications, and trial reports to ensure accurate traceability and audit readiness.
6. Work with relevant functions to meet customer satisfactions, problem solving/root cause investigation, coming up with corrective and preventive actions.
7. Other tasks assigned by superiors

Qualifications

1. Education:

• • Bachelor Degree in Material Science, Chemistry, Food Science, Agro-Industry or related fields (Master’s Degree or Doctoral Degree in related fields is preferable)

2. Experiences:
   • 2 years of working or research experience in related field

3. Skills and knowledge:
   • Good knowledge of food product formulation, food packaging and production
   • Good flexibility and quick learning
   • Good interpersonal and problem-solving
   • Good in English, both oral and written.
   • Good command of Ms Office (Word, excel, PowerPoint)
   • Knowledge in ISO 9001, ISO 22000, ISO 14001, GMP, HACCP…etc
